Åsen
Åsen is situated 18 kilometers north of
Älvdalen, along the way to Särna and Idre. The view over the river
Österdalälven, surrounding villages and miles and miles of forests and
wilderness is very beautiful. Åsen has a holiday village, a store, an
illuminated ski track (three kilometers), ski tracks (three and ten
kilometers), an illuminated hockey rink, an open-air pool and Soldathemmet
("the Soldier home"), a meeting-place where flea markets,
auctions and other events are arranged. .
