is a very beautifully situated village 13 kilometers south of Älvdalen.
Some of the characteristics of this pleasant village are high elevation,
protection from the north wind, open to the south wind and the view over
Lake Siljan far in the south. Blyberg is also known for its unusually good
and fertile soil, and summer is rich in apple trees, strawberries,
hepaticas and flowers of all kinds. The village also has a carpentry work,
a village community center, a local museum and a "bakery", a
small house where you can bake your own bread e.g. the special thin
unleavened bread. Not far from the village itself is where the closed down
porphyry-quarry is located, a nice destination for an excursion, on your
own or with a guide.
