Oxberg
If the name Oxberg sounds familiar, you probably heard
it in connection with the Vasaloppet, since Oxberg is one of the
checkpoints of this 90-kilometer long ski race. The village is situated 13
kilometers south of Älvdalen and is actually part of the Mora parish. The
small chapel and the Axi mill are two sights worth visiting, in addition
you can fish in the river and use the nice tracks for hiking, jogging and
skiing. The old railroad station is for rent (a nice choice for e.g.
groups) and the village also has a country store
